The Social Science learning area explores how humans interact with the world and the implications this may have. We are firm believers in providing relevant and engaging learning experiences and offer many hands-on learning opportunities through field trips.

Come along with us as we explore the world around us, tackle the 'big' issues that this world faces and learn how to be active citizens of our earth.

Social Studies

At Year 9 and Year 10, through social inquiry, students ask questions, gather information, and examine the background to important societal ideas and events. They are able to explore and analyse values and perspectives relating to these ideas and events; and develop understandings about issues and the ways that people make decisions and participate in social action.
