The Learning Centre provides individualised programmes that cater to the individual needs of students and assistance is offered to individual teachers and Learning Areas. At times, we withdraw students from class so that they can receive assistance for a wide range of specific learning challenges. Most of the time assistance is given to students in the classroom setting through the support of Learning Assistants.

The primary role of the Learning Centre is to promote the optimum inclusion of students with specific learning and behavioural needs.  As such we work with our students and staff in some of the following ways:

• Allocation of Learning Assistants support

• Intensive Reading Programme,

• Support students who qualify for special assessment conditions (i.e. Reader/writer)
