Agriculture is more than “farming or milking cows”. Agricultural Science covers production and business across the primary industry including the way society uses food.

Our junior school programme gives students a practical experience of animal and plant management practices. Year 9 is a taster course of one semester, introducing you to Horticulture and Business. Year 10 is a whole year option subject and is all about animal products.

Taking Agricultural Science as a senior subject will help you in any career connected with food production, the environment or compliance. It is a university accredited subject and will challenge you.

Our senior students get the chance to be involved in special projects when the occasion calls for it. They also attend industry-based workshops and conferences as and when they happen.

We quite often go on field trips eg Fieldays or to the Future Beef Competition.
